Yes, yes, yes to the yellow and grey! I love your photos, and it would really lift the dark wallpaper. The bed should not take up more than one-third of the total room space. See more ideas about rearranging furniture, furniture arrangement, livingroom layout. When arranging a bedroom, you need to consider where the bed will go first and foremost. At the moment it feels like there are two chunks of wasted space on either side of the big sofa. Use Of Appropriate Furniture When arranging bedroom furniture, queen or king-size beds, nightstands, dressers, armor and mirrored cabinets should be used sparingly. when the chair was where the TV is I always felt like I was missing something that was going on behind me - that sounds silly, I know!! I love the idea of zoning with a rug and a coffee table would be so handy - currently we have to twist right round to reach the tables on either side of the sofa. Whatvwe found was that there wasn't much space between the two chairs to get in and out of the kitchen - the chairs are both very deep so they really come into the room. The smaller armchair went where the TV is. We have tried dividing the room with the large sofa, where the smaller armchair is, and the TV used to be on the patterned wall. Yes, it's a complete nightmare! Thank you both for replying. Again would try it on paper first! It looks a lovely room though! I love your hearth and I know it's a crime to suggest it but it does intrude on the space so wonder what it would look painted in a stone colour to blend with the carpet. Before you buy, draw literally everything out on paper/card templates so you can see how they'd work. Maybe go for a much lighter colour and add colour with lamp shades, cushion etc. I'd look for slim sofas as yours seem quite deep. How to enliven your living room Define a new focal point Move the furniture Divide the room Pull your desk away from the wall Create new sitting places. This is a matter of your own comfort and courtesy for your guest. Put the tv on a tilting bracket for when needed. I have noticed over time that the most successful furniture arrangements always include a light source and a place for one’s book/drink/glasses etc. Pop a couple of table lamps either side of the TV for a cosy feel plus they would also hide the cables from a side view. I'd do away with the White chest and use the sideboard for storage plus the sky and xbox. You could have 2 small upholstered chairs either side of the sideboard which could be moved when needed to watch tv. Do all the kids live with you full time? I'm wondering if you could have the tv hung just over a sideboard on that ŵall where the key chest is atm. Select a color for walls or floors Choose furniture Add windows and doors Add decorative elements You can arrange furniture and other items in your living room all by yourself. So it's fixed in the current version.Hi Emma. The reason was, that since some version of iOS11, iPad automatically changes flat apostrophes to curly variants, that were not recognized by Room Arranger. Thanks for your detailed description of the bug. I didn’t get any further than this with the app, I’m afraid, so unless (and until) this issue is solved, I’ll shelve all other opinions. The developer may *SAY* that apostrophes can be entered but after multiple attempts (with and without spaces in between), I am relaying the *ACTUAL* behavior. So, yes, you must convert all your dimensions to inches before you begin. That’s what 21 inches is: one foot, nine inches. It ignores the apostrophe foot indicator and converts whatever number is there to inches. If you actually enter, as did I, 21’ 6”, it converts it to 1’ 9”. However, this should be done before hanging mirrors and pictures. Think about lighting and how light will work in the room lamps are easy to move. Leave enough room for doors and drawers to be opened. It is at this point the app expects you to enter inches only, despite the sample entry showing the standard format x’ y” (with a space in between). Arrange major pieces of furniture first, then smaller items such as end tables, chairs, and plant stands. When you start a new project, the app prompts you for the room dimensions. There’s a featured review for this app (which includes the developer’s response) that attempts to raise the issue I’m having, only it’s not very well written, so hold my coffee.
